Hepatitis B is a virus that infects the liver and is contracted via contaminated bodily fluids and blood. It can lead to chronic liver problems and can even be fatal, it is also around 100 times more infectious than HIV. It is most often spread through unprotected sexual intercourse or by blood transfusion with infected blood or sharing needles.
Hepatitis B occurs around the world but regions where it is more prevalent include India, Eastern Europe including Russia, China, Africa, the South Pacific and in Central and South America.
