Asthma Inhalers Without Prescription in Islington

At our North London pharmacy 19 Canonbury lane, Islington, London N1 2AS, Dermacia pharmacists are trained and registered under the Patient Group Direction system to dispense Salbutamol inhalers under certain criteria:

• Only patients already using salbutamol inhalers are eligible for the service.
• Pharmacies set a fee for the service payable by patients.

Purpose of the PGD

The Salbutamol Inhalers PGD allows pharmacists to supply salbutamol inhalers without a doctor's prescription. The service increases patient convenience and access to treatment and helps to prevent patients running out of inhalers.

The service is for patients who require a continuation of a previous treatment and who choose to obtain their inhalers direct from Pharmacists. Salbutamol inhalers can be supplied only if patients agree to Pharmacists informing GPs each time an inhaler is supplied.
